“I always pursued my fantasies. I was never interested in fantasies remaining fantasies. They were always so formed in my imagination that I couldn’t not chase them.” – Damian Lewis
You can ask, and rightly so, why we call Damian’s summer a Top Moment of the year. Well, because, Damian constantly worked during summer months in the last six years, Homeland 2011-2013, Wolf Hall 2014, and Billions 2015-2016. There were obviously weekend escapes, especially during Homeland shoot in North Carolina, which Helen makes sound wonderful in an interview with Evening Standard…
“We went to the Appalachian Mountains, skinny-dipping in the white waters, camping…”
…still, there was always work to come back to at the end of the weekend. The fact that they started shooting Billions Season 3 in September this year made it possible for our guy to fully enjoy the summer with his family. Thus, Summer of 2017 certainly qualifies as a top moment of the year!
I will never forget the moment at The Goat stage door back in May when a fan asked Damian about what he would be doing between The Goat and Billions. Damian responded promptly:
Vicky is one of the first, if not the first, fans that followed our Facebook page the day Fan Fun with Damian Lewis came to life almost three years ago. She wrote her brilliant fan story we are proud to have published in our Fan Story Series and she is back today with an equally beautiful story about how she followed Milo Shakespeare’s footsteps in Grosmont, South Wales, the village where Gareth and Damian Lewis shot their killer comedy The Baker! Thank you, Vicky! Continue reading “Following Footsteps of Milo Shakespeare: Vicky’s Trip to Grosmont”
Happy Labor Day! It means this is the last chance for most of us to make that last trip before the summer ends… It also means we will have our Englishman back in New York shortly for Billions Season 3 shoot. It goes without saying we will follow the shoot very closely and think and talk about our hopes, wishes and fantasies about Season 3 in the coming weeks and months.
But, today, we will talk about Damian’s summer, the first summer he has fully enjoyed in the last six years. There were obviously weekend escapes especially during Homeland shoot in North Carolina which Helen makes sound wonderful in an interview with Evening Standard…
“We went to the Appalachian Mountains, skinny-dipping in the white waters, camping…”
…but, still, Damian has constantly worked all summer since he started shooting Homeland in spring 2011. So, when asked by a fan at The Goat stage door back in May about what he would be doing between The Goat and Billions, he responded promptly:
What this means, in a nutshell, is that a Lewis brothers collaboration may be on the horizon if Gareth Lewis is able to get The Money Run funded through an indiegogo campaign and have a script written. If The Money Run becomes a movie, Gareth will direct it and Damian will star in it.
