Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis in Will, A Liverpool Movie

English Premiere League (EPL) is starting this weekend! We blogged last year about Damian loving his footie and being a HUGE Liverpool fan here and we wish LFC the best of luck in the 2017-18 season! We will have a big party here on the blog should they finish at the top!

I have no idea if the Lewis boys will attend the first Liverpool match of the season — Watford does not seem to be a long way from London, it is, in fact, part of the Tube system — like they did back in February to see Liverpool vs Tottenham at Anfield but I hope they enjoy the match either in the stadium or in front of the TV!

UPDATE 08/12/2017: Well, I knew it! Here’s Damian at Vicarage Road for the first match of the season! Continue reading “Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis in Will, A Liverpool Movie”

A Ginger Obsession Called Damian Lewis: Sonia’s Story

Hello everyone! Damianista welcomes you to a NEW Fan Story Tuesday!

This week’s story comes from Sonia, a lovely fan from the UK who is as much a “dark horse” as me. Now, in case you don’t know what this means… Here is Damian providing an explanation at Times Talks London back in 2014 😀

Well, my dear Sonia, Damian may not go out with us after all but even THAT cannot stop us from loving the unlovable Soames Forsyte! So, without further ado, here is Sonia telling her fan story with a great sense of humor! Big thanks go to her for sharing her story with us. ENJOY! The Money Run with Gareth and Damian Lewis: Let’s HELP Make It Happen

Hello everyone! We shared about the crowdfunding campaign Damian’s younger brother Gareth has had on Indiegogo a month ago. The campaign will go on for another month so it is a good time to share it one more time now.

You will find a lot of information about The Money Run below. If this project comes to life, Gareth Lewis will direct it and Damian Lewis will star in it! So… do we need another reason to back this project? 😀 I know our community is capable of doing wonders so please read on to find out how we all can give a hand to help make it happen!

What is The Money Run?

In Gareth Lewis’ words:

“A $20 million helicopter heist in the middle of the Vietnam War. What could possibly go wrong?”

The Money Run is a book Gareth Lewis is working to turn into a movie. If it happens, Gareth will be directing it and Damian will star in it. The good news is we have a chance to make it possible! Continue reading “The Money Run with Gareth and Damian Lewis: Let’s HELP Make It Happen”

Bobby Axelrod Season 2: The “eyes” have it

Hello, friends!  Hope your summer is going really well.  We’ve rounded the corner to August now, which in Minnesota means STATE FAIR TIME! All the fried food on a stick, people watching, and petting goats that you can handle!

oh look, a slow day

I am basically inside the house hiding from the evil “day star” (I am fair with freckles, tanning ain’t for me!) so I’ve been re-watching some favorite shows to pass the time.  Season 2 of Billions, of course, has been an easy choice!  Let’s stroll back, together, and tell a tale of two Bobbies!

source: Showtime

Let’s do a little comparison work between the Bobby of season one, and the Bobby in season two. As always, I’ll be viewing Damian’s work through the lens of a Delsartean. Continue reading “Bobby Axelrod Season 2: The “eyes” have it”

Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis at Berlinale 2015

I am happy to say “Ich bin ein Berliner” for the last couple of days. And exactly like JaniaJania and I did in London, I cannot help follow Damian’s footsteps in Berlin… Honestly, it is not that I follow him, but he comes and finds me everywhere 😀 Look at that!

Then I stand in front of the glorious Brandenburg Gate that has become the symbol of unified Germany since 1989, and I do not just think of history, but also of Damian saying his hotel room had “a pretty amazing view of Brandenburg Gate” when he was in Berlin for the World Premiere of Queen of the Desert at Berlinale 2015 😀

So I look around and find out there is only one hotel looking over Brandenburg Gate: Damian should have stayed at Hotel Adlon during his visit to Berlin, the MOST famous and probably the most expensive hotel in the city with some interesting history.
