Set to start filming in July, Damian Lewis’ next project, Billions, pits a US Attorney (played by Paul Giamatti) against a sketchy hedge fund manager (played by Damian Lewis). The role affords DL again a chance to play a character he seems born to play: the unconventional hero, on the wrong side of what is thought of as conventional good behavior.
Damianista posted extensively of the stellar cast as it was announced in March. So here’s what we have for Damian’s Bobby Axelrod: A wife and kids, another woman of interest, an attorney on his heels. And for Damian himself: creator and co-producer Brian Koppelman tweeting his standing ovation Damian’s last day on the set of the pilot, Showtime promptly picking up a full season of episodes, trust exercises on set where Damian clearly does not let co-screenwriter David Levien down. All of this speaks to Billions being a must-watch series when it airs early next year. We know that DL has always been a stickler for researching his roles. His turn as Bobby Axelrod is, of course, no exception. So shall we look at some research we’ve seen him doing for the role? Yes, we shall!

Recent internet frenzy about Damian Lewis smashing the “Next James Bond” bets makes it extremely tempting to share this blog post once again with you! Regardless of Damian becoming the next James Bond or not (does it really matter? We know he will do a brilliant job with whatever job comes his way), he starred in a short movie called Desire — and the protagonist Sidney Clark is, in fact, sort of a James Bond parody. So, why not enjoy it in celebration of this exciting rumor that has given us so much FUN this week? ENJOY!
Damian Lewis is a good friend of Jaguar. He first unveiled the Jaguar F-type roadster in 2013. Then he appeared in a short action film called Desire by Ridley Scott Associates and Jaguar in 2013 to promote the all-new 2014 F-type roadster.

PBS Direct has just released Forsyte Saga – The Complete Series back to DVD. In celebration of the release – meet the Forsytes!
The Forsyte Saga chronicles the lives of the leading members of a large upper-middle class English Family. Only a few generations removed from their farmer ancestors, the family members are very much aware of their status as “new money.” The main character, Soames Forsyte is nicknamed as a “man of property” in the family by virtue of his ability to accumulate material possessions — but this does not bring him pleasure in his marriage to his beloved Irene or in life in general. Mr. Carlos Hill asks: “Which piece of work are you most proud of?”
Damian Lewis answers: “I’m proud of all my work. I always turn up and try my hardest to do the best job I can, but I was proud of my Hamlet, playing Soames Forsyte in The Forsyte Saga, and I’m also very proud of a small film called Keane, which not many people saw.”
Well, we talked about Damian’s Hamlet earlier here — both the one with Damian being in the lead role at the Open Air Theatre in Regent’s Park and the one with Damian playing Laertes opposite Ralph Fiennes’ Hamlet on Broadway. We also talked about Damian’s Soames Forsyte in much detail. We only talked about Keane though in the context that how it gave us Nicholas Brody.
