Life with Charlie Crews, Season 2: Episodes 10, 11 and 12

We are in the middle of Season 2! Charlie is getting closer to finding out who stole 12 years of his life. Dani is getting closer to Tidwell  Charlie and Dani are getting closer, too. Dani is asking for Charlie’s opinion, can you imagine? Besides, they start finishing each other’s sentences! 🙂

In Episode 10 Evil… and his Brother Ziggy, Charlie wakes up poolside at Raybourn’s house while Dani wakes up next to Tidwell in bed. Raybourn tells Charlie he can call whenever he wants to talk. Dani tells Tidwell she can handle his New York attitude as well as his four ex-wives that adore him but his hair needs to go. Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis in Will, A Liverpool Movie

English Premiere League (EPL) is starting this weekend! We have blogged about Damian being a HUGE Liverpool fan earlier here and we wish the Redmen the best of luck in the 2016-17 season. We will have a big party here on the blog should Liverpool finish at the top!

Now, a funny coincidence is that the first match Liverpool has this season is against Arsenal, a match that we have reason to believe may put the two boys in Lewis-McCrory household against each other 🙂

We have no idea if this is one of Damian’s London weekends (he is regularly commuting between New York and London as he shoots Billions Season 2 in New York) and if the two boys will be at the Emirates on Sunday but we hope they both enjoy the match!

So… The start of the EPL inspires me to take you all to Will, a football movie that Damian made a few years ago. And, hey, Will is not just a football movie; it is a Liverpool movie! Have you seen it yet?

Soames Forsyte

Strange to talk about a series that happened over 10 years ago, but discussing Damian Lewis’ oeuvre without touching on Soames Forsyte and the Forsyte Saga would just be incomplete.

Imagine if you will, a 30 year old actor just returned from completing his first “Hollywood” venture, the most expensive series ever produced and shown on HBO, Band of Brothers. It was a hit! Everyone wants him! Everyone wants him to come back over the pond and play….another soldier. Word has it, and Damianista just mentioned this week, that Damian was offered a role in Blackhawk Down and turned it down to stay in England and play Soames Forsyte. One may speculate he told the casting folks that he can’t do it but his good friend and fellow Eton-ite Ewan MacGregor might be free. 🙂 Of course, BHD was a great film, but, boy, we’re glad DL said no. Life with Charlie Crews, Season 2: Episodes 7, 8, and 9

As you’ve been following along on our Life rewatch and blogs, you may have noticed that, for the most part, the episodes are standalone stories. They focus usually on the investigation of one crime o’the day, which rarely carries over to other episodes. What does carry over is the tenuous thread of Charlie’s own story, the back story of him being framed for murder, jailed, released, and now in search of the people who did him wrong. Sometimes that thread of Charlie’s story is more tenuous than others, and we see Charlie so happy-go-lucky, so FREE, we nearly forget about the revenge subplot. These three next episodes from Season 2 are ones where Charlie is free to be Charlie and we see the comedic side of Damian more than ever.

The Question, Part 2: Homeland in the Rain

Last we left, our couple had just met across a table and over files at CIA offices. Since then, Carrie Mathison has continued getting to know this mysterious Marine, Sgt. Nicholas Brody. Thanks to well-placed surveillance, she continues to get a head start on upcoming events by spending a few nights with her subject. Unbeknownst to him of course, but nights spent, nonetheless.
